Of course, the Fire Department New York (FDNY) loves President Trump.
The FDNY, next to the NYPD, is comprised of the most self-sacrificing Americans in our nation. These brave individuals are God-fearing patriots.
They make America great, having chosen a career to defend and protect thy neighbors’ safety and life, while sacrificing their own.
They did not chant “Trump” and boo Letitia James because she is Black; a narrative that a biased Clinton-appointed federal Judge is trying to sell.
No — the FDNY booed her because she is helping to tear down our culture and the goodness that built and made America and New York City great.
Trump is the most anti-abortion president of our time.
He holds the FDNY in high esteem because at the core of this mutual bond is a shared regard for human life.
New York State Atty. Gen. Letitia James is on the opposite spectrum.
Her hatred toward those who value the sanctity of life is clearly what drives her, being on record for having defiantly bragged about having an abortion herself.
When President Trump occupied the Oval Office, he took immeasurable steps to protect the life of the unborn and the those who hold prolife views.
Ms. James was at the forefront in opposing him.
Included among the long list of Trump administration’s anti-abortion achievements was his effort to protect medical professionals from being mandated to go against their moral conscience and forced to perform abortions, life-altering gender-reconstruction surgeries or other services conflicting with their beliefs that doing so would be a sin.
This one really got James’ ire. When Trump’s HHS issued this rule in 2019, AG James led a host of other Democratic state attorney generals and filed a court injunction to block Trump from protecting medical professionals from being forced to go against their moral conscience.
Given how earlier that same year, New York Democrats did the unimaginable, and notoriously passed the most radical partial birth abortion law in the nation, it’s hard to not wonder if this had something to do with why Atty. Gen. James’ opposed Trump’s efforts.
Perhaps her ulterior motive was to ensure that no New York doctor or nurse could escape from being forced to perform third trimester abortions, deemed as infanticide by any sane reasonable-feeling person.
Letitia James has also had it out for crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs), specifically those offering pregnant women life-giving alternatives to abortion.
In contrast, President Trump has been a big defender of CPCs.
Mr. Trump made sure that under his watch, CPCs had his administration’s protection and stepped in when pro-abortion rights agitators attempted to force a CPC to make abortion referrals to Planned Parenthood types.
It should be no surprise that on the other hand, Letitia James calls CPCs “fake clinics” and one of her campaign promises was to employ lawfare to target them.
She has delivered on that promise, inclusive of 2022, when she used her taxpayer-funded government position to demand that Google remove CPCs from search results because as she admitted, does not want expectant mothers to be dissuaded from aborting their babies.
This is perhaps why a case can be made that this type of hostility, that she has shown against CPCs, set the tone for the onslaught of attacks that CPCs received in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade 410 U.S. 113 (1973), with Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization 597 U.S. 215 (2022).
The point is this: Donald Trump and Letitia James are at the opposite of many spectrums. The views Donald J. Trump holds align with those of the FDNY.
In Proverbs 4:23 Scripture tells us that from the heart the issues of life spring.
This is a poignant principle that makes the best case for why the anti-abortion position needs to be the standard bearer from which all should live.
The abortion mindset comes from a dark, cold-heartedness and can only breed cold-hearted unenlightened, immoral societies.
However, when a nation protects the weakest and most vulnerable among us, the unborn baby, we are all beneficiaries.
An anti-abortion mindset inspires a culture to be generous, grateful, self-sacrificing, which in turn produces upstanding citizens like those found in the ranks of the FDNY.
Letitia James hatred of Trump comes from the simple fact that her abortion mindset has rendered her view of the world with abject negativity.
She doesn’t love an America that regards human life.
The FDNY love our nation’s 45th president — because he does.
