Rep. Kweisi Mfume Attends Key Democratic Meetings, Reaffirms Support for Biden

Maryland Representative Kweisi Mfume and other Democratic leaders participated in two closed-door meetings this week, seemingly aimed at shoring up support for President Joe Biden amid growing questions about his fitness for office.

Despite widespread public concern over Biden’s mental acuity and physical stamina, Mfume claimed the President appeared “clear, concise, coherent, consistent and committed” during a virtual session with the Congressional Black Caucus. This rosy assessment stands in stark contrast to Biden’s frequent public gaffes and confused statements.

At a subsequent House Democratic Caucus meeting, Mfume reported that a staggering 95% of attendees blindly pledged support for Biden’s re-election bid. This lockstep party unity ignores the legitimate concerns of American voters and even the 5% of Democrats brave enough to suggest Biden should step aside.

Mfume’s statement that “you don’t change horses in the middle of the stream” reveals the Democrats’ desperate strategy to cling to power at all costs, even if it means running a candidate clearly past his prime. This stubborn insistence on Biden’s candidacy, echoed by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, shows a party more concerned with maintaining control than addressing the real issues facing our nation.

As Biden’s poll numbers continue to plummet and his ability to lead comes under increasing scrutiny, the Democrats’ unwavering support appears more like a political liability than an asset in the upcoming election.
