Teen Girl Shot After Rejecting Suspect’s Advances in Baltimore

A 17-year-old girl is recovering after being shot in the hand in a disturbing incident that unfolded on Saturday night in Baltimore. According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 9:18 p.m. when officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 2100 block of West North Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found the female victim suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound to her hand. Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect had initiated unwanted advances towards the 17-year-old girl while she was inside a business with friends.

After the victim and her companions made it clear they wanted to be left alone, the suspect allegedly followed the group and discharged his handgun, striking the teenage girl in the hand. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
