Shooting Victim Dropped Off at Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Investigation Underway

Maryland State Police are investigating a shooting incident after a gunshot victim was dropped off at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on the evening of April 28.

According to the preliminary investigation, an individual suffering from an apparent gunshot wound was transported by an unknown person to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was subsequently flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment of their injuries.

As a result of the ongoing police activity related to this case, all lanes in the area of the 4900 block of Hanover Pike in Manchester have been temporarily closed.

Officials have confirmed that the incident is currently under investigation by the Maryland State Police, but no further details have been provided at this time.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the identity of the perpetrator remain unknown as authorities gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.
