A woman lost her life in a shooting incident this afternoon at the ReNew Whitemarsh apartment complex in Nottingham. The Baltimore County Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when police officers responded to a call reporting a shooting at the 8500 block of Walther Boulevard, where the ReNew Whitemarsh apartments are located. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Despite immediate life-saving efforts by the responding officers, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. While the identity of the victim has not been released, police believe this was a targeted shooting.
