TOWSON, Md. —

Three defendants have plead guilty in the death of Baltimore County Officer Amy Caprio.

Defendants Darrell Ward, Derrick Matthews and Eugene Genius plead guilty to felony murder as part of plea deal with the state. In exchange, the state agreed to drop all additional first-degree burglary charges.

Felony murder carries mandatory life sentence, but under plea deal, the state asked the judge to suspend all but 39 years.
