COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WBFF) — Hundreds gathered behind the chapel at the University of Maryland (UMD) College Park on Wednesday, to remember Richard Collins.

Collins was fatally stabbed on the UMD campus last Saturday. A UMD student is now facing murder charges and police are investigating whether it is a hate crime. But friends of Collins say they hope he is remembered for how he lived his life and not for his murder.
