BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – Maryland State Police say a pedestrian was fatally struck overnight on I-695 in Baltimore County.
Officers were called after 12:30 a.m. to the area of I-695 and I-70. Police believe the pedestrian was crossing the exit ramp to I-70 when the driver of a 2012 Toyota Highlander was coming around the ramp and hit them.
The driver of the Toyota stayed on scene.
The name of the pedestrian will be released once the next of kin is notified.
Officials had several lanes closed for hours during an investigation. They were all reopened by 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
