Sheriff Won’t Step Down Amid Alleged Racism And Sexism

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Howard County Sheriff James Fitzgerald has vowed to stay on the job amid a scathing report that exposed alleged racism and sexism.

“I want to apologize to you all to the atmosphere that has been created last week or sum, to the accusations that have been directed at me during my time as the sheriff,” said Fitzgerald during a press conference on Thursday.
