Maryland State Police said a tractor trailer and a dump truck collided on the bridge over the Monocacy River on I-70 just before 5 a.m.

The tractor trailer jackknifed and the dump truck overturned. The drivers have not yet been identified.

Shortly after the crash, a nurse pulled up, ran to the scene to assist and jumped over a jersey wall believing there was a median on the other side, according to police.
