Judge Will Issue Verdict in Goodson Case Thursday Morning

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) —The fate of Officer Caesar Goodson Jr. is now at the hands of Judge Barry Williams who will deliver a verdict in his trial on Thursday.

Caesar Goodson Jr. –who’s facing the most serious charge–was the driver of the van that transported Gray from the the spot where he was arrested to the Western District police station. When the van arrived at the station Gray was already critically injured and unresponsive. Gray later died from his injuries on April 19, 2015.

Baltimore’s top prosecutor stood at the top of a sweeping staircase last spring and declared that six police officers would be held accountable for the broken neck of a 25-year-old black man whose death in custody set the city on fire.
