Most of ISIS Suicide Attacks Carried Out By Teenagers

DUHOK – The majority of Islamic State’s (ISIS) suicide attacks in Iraq’s Anbar province have been carried out by teenage jihadis, an official statement by the Anbar security department revealed on Saturday.

“Most of the ISIS-led suicide attacks in Anbar have been conducted by Iraqi teenagers recruited by the terrorist group,” the department said, citing official statistics by the Iraqi security.

A report by the Anbar security department, that covered all suicide attacks conducted by ISIS since its emergence in Iraq, revealed that majority of the perpetrators were teenagers.

“A large number of them were family members of Iraqi ISIS fighters,” said Ahmed al-Rabiye, member of the Anbar provincial council.
