Muslim cleric says astrologist affronts Islam, threatens him with shoe

The host has to hold back the Muslim cleric Mohammad Al-Mallah from assaulting the astrologist. The response to perceived affronts to Islam and the Qur’an, even from Muslim clerics, is all too often physical violence — which is not surprising in a culture that so reveres the book that commands believers to kill those with differing views (cf. Qur’an 2:191, 4:89, 9:5). Mohammad Al-Mallah didn’t threaten to kill the astrologist, just to beat him with his shoe; he must be a moderate.
