90-Year-Old Woman Attacked in Northwest Baltimore Home Invasion Dies

90-year-old woman who was brutally attacked during a home invasion in her Northwest Baltimore home earlier this month died Wednesday, police said.

Police said Mary Helen Dickson-Hines was injured during a home invasion at her home in the 4500 block of Garden Drive on May 4. Police said an unknown suspect or suspects entered the home and assaulted the victim before leaving.

“This is a 90-year-old woman who lived in the same home for 50 years, who was brutally assaulted, left for dead and had passed away this morning,” said Lt. Jarron Jackson, a department spokesman.

He said police do not have any suspect information, but that investigators believe the suspect was close to this community, and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“That community deserves to have this person, who committed this brutal assault, taken off the street,” he said.
