Study: Go to Church If You Want to Live Longer

Going to church could save your life — no, seriously!

A new study has found that women who worship more than once a week had a 33 percent lower mortality rate than those who stay at home.

“Our results suggest that there may be something important about religious service attendance beyond solitary spirituality,” explained Tyler VanderWeele, a professor of epidemiology at the T.H.Chan School of Public Health at Harvard and author of the study, which was published Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine.
