90-Year-Old Baltimore Woman Critical After Home Invasion

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating after a 90-year-old woman was nearly beaten to death during a home invasion in Northwest Baltimore. It happened in broad daylight along the 4500 block of Garden Drive.

“It’s tough to find words to describe what officers found when they entered home,” police told WJZ’s Rick Ritter. “We have a 90-year-old woman who was brutally assaulted, and by all accounts, left for dead inside her home.”

At around noon on Wednesday, police got a call from concerned citizen Randolph Alston, who was worried about his 90-year-old neighbor.

When they arrived on-scene, officers found the back door wide open and the elderly woman tied up on the floor inside with bruises all over her body.
