Historical Society Launches Website All About Baltimore Unrest

The Maryland Historical Society launched a website on Thursday with thousands of photographs, video and audio segments, and text files documenting the unrest in Baltimore, and they’re putting the call out for more.

BaltimoreUprising2015.com currently contains 2,388 documents in a searchable database. According to the home page, the archive project aims to ensure that “the history of the Baltimore Uprising of 2015 … include[s] voices from the streets as well as voices from the halls of government.”

Users are encouraged to contribute their own documents and stories related to the protests and riots following the death of Freddie Gray.

According to ABC News, the society has already received over 12,000 submissions.

Take a look.
