Freddie Gray’s West Baltimore – What’s Changed and What Hasn’t

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — April 12, 2016 marks one year since the arrest of Freddie Gray.

Gray would die a week later from injuries which the Medical Examiner said he suffered in the police van. Six Baltimore City police officers face charges in his death. The incident led to protests and riots throughout the city, put the national focus on Baltimore and highlighted issues that reverberate through the community to this day.

Those in West Baltimore are looking back on changes over the past year. There are very obvious differences, and then things that haven’t changed at all. What many say is the big difference is the fact that conversations are still taking place.
