Alsobrooks DC Property Management Raises Red Flags

In what appears to be another example of Democratic leadership falling short on accountability, an investigation into U.S. Senate candidate Angela Alsobrooks’ property management has revealed concerning discrepancies between her public statements and official records.

The 7News I-Team has uncovered troubling evidence regarding Alsobrooks’ management of a Northeast D.C. property she inherited from her family. While Alsobrooks’ campaign claims she operated as a landlord from 2003 to 2018, official documentation tells a different story.

Photos obtained by 7News reveal the property’s deteriorating condition in 2017, showing ripped carpeting, missing flooring, and stained walls – conditions that appear to violate D.C.’s basic housing codes requiring landlords to maintain safe, livable dwellings.

More concerning is the apparent disregard for proper licensing and regulations. District records show Alsobrooks operated without the required Basic Business License (BBL) for a full decade of her claimed rental period. This oversight isn’t merely procedural – it’s a significant violation of District law that could result in fines up to $16,000 and triple damages paid to tenants.

The investigation raises serious questions about regulatory compliance and transparency. Only four names appear on voter registration records at the address during this period, including Alsobrooks’ grandmother and the eventual new owner. Two other residents, Jesselene White and Nathaniel Fitzpatrick, used the address for voting purposes during periods when Alsobrooks lacked proper rental licensing.

When presented with eight detailed questions about these discrepancies, including requests for rental agreements and payment records, Alsobrooks’ campaign has remained silent. This lack of response follows a pattern of Democratic candidates avoiding scrutiny when faced with challenging questions about their past conduct.

These revelations come at a crucial time as voters consider their choices for U.S. Senate. The apparent failure to comply with basic rental regulations and maintain proper documentation raises legitimate concerns about administrative competence and respect for law and order – qualities vital for any Senate candidate.

The situation exemplifies a broader pattern of Democratic politicians who campaign on promises of good governance while their personal conduct suggests a different standard. Voters deserve complete transparency and accountability from their potential representatives, regardless of party affiliation.
