Baltimore Police: Two People Killed, Seven Injured in Weekend Violence

Nine people have been shot, two fatally, in separate incidents in Baltimore since Friday evening, according to Baltimore Police.

At about 9 p.m. Saturday, police said, officers were called to the 700 block of N. Collington Ave. in Baltimore’s Middle East neighborhood, where they found a 30-year-old man who died of gunshot wounds after being taken to a hospital. Police identified him on Monday as Gilbert Bates Jr., a resident of the block where he was shot.
