New Information Shows Oakland Mayor Personally Warned Businesses of ICE Raid

“Important Alert! Credible information ICE Raids in Oakland Sunday 2/25 and Monday 2/26.” That email warning was issued by Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s office and was sent to a local business group in her city in advance of the targeted raid by Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE).

The email is one of several that have been leaked out, and show the lengths that Schaaf went through to warn illegal aliens and their employers of a looming operation by ICE in Northern California. The emails also reveal that Schaaf was in contact with an open borders group, Centro Legal de La Raza, which helps illegal aliens get attorneys.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he is considering prosecuting Schaaf for obstruction of justice by aiding criminal illegal aliens in escaping deportation.

According to ICE, about 800 illegal aliens in Northern California avoided arrest because of Schaaf’s “tip-off.” Some of those who avoided arrest were criminal aliens with prior convictions involving child sex crimes and armed robbery.
