More than 20 inches of rain fell in Houston on Sunday, with the latest forecasts showing 15 to 25 inches in Texas was possible over the next several days. Rainfall from Harvey could reach up to 50 inches in some spots, making it the highest ever recorded in the state, the National Weather Service announced. NWS meteorologist Patrick Burke said rainfall totals will end up around 40 inches or more for Houston on average.
