212th Homicide! Thugs Murder Beloved Manager of Dollar General in Edmondson Village Robbery

Jackie Horton rushed to the doors of the Dollar General in Edmondson Village, hoping it wasn’t true that the kindly store manager was gunned down Tuesday night.
She found the store locked Wednesday and police inside, where they say Deric Ford Sr. was fatally shot in a robbery.
“No! Oh, my God. I just saw him,” Horton said, crying on the sidewalk.
The 54-year-old manager was shot minutes before the store in the West Baltimore shopping center closed at 10 p.m. Tuesday. A passerby flagged police to the strip mall, but Ford died shortly after reaching the hospital.
