BALTIMORE (WBFF) – The American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland is suing Gov. Larry Hogan for deleting comments and blocking Facebook users.
The governor’s office calls the lawsuit a waste of taxpayers’ money. But ACLU lawyers call the practice unconstitutional and say a court will decide.
“He didn’t like [the posts], but that’s not enough,” said Deborah Jeon, Legal Director for ACLU Maryland.
The ACLU is accusing Hogan and two staffers of unconstitutionally censoring constituents’ speech by blocking some Facebook posters and deleting their comments from his official page.
