PROGRESS? Baltimore City Schools See 91 Percent Drop in Student Arrests

An eye-opening Project Baltimore investigation has found the number of students being arrested in Baltimore City Schools has dropped by more than 90 percent in the past 10 years. But student don’t feel safer.

According to data Fox45 obtained from Baltimore City Schools, school police arrested nearly 1,000 students in 2008. This past year, they arrested just 85. The school believes this shows progress, but others say the students aren’t necessarily acting differently, the school district just isn’t arresting them.
