Pugh Aid Pleads Guilty for Campaign Violations, Mayor Says He is ‘Good Employee’

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A local watchdog group is calling on Baltimore’s mayor and her office to find out more information, after an aide entered a plea on accusations he made illegal contributions to her election campaign.
Last year, Gary Brown was accused of using his family members bank accounts to illegally contribute $18,000 to Pugh’s campaign. On Tuesday, Brown entered an Alford plea, pleading guilty without actually admitting guilt.
Brown remains a member of Mayor Catherine Pugh’s communication team.
