Two men were fatally shot in West Baltimore Tuesday morning, the city’s 121st and 122nd homicides of the year.
At about 5:52 a.m., police were called to the 2800 block of W. Lanvale Street, where they found two men, in and around a vehicle, both shot in the head, police said. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims are 37 and 28, police spokesman T.J. Smith said. One victim was found in the trunk of the car, he said.
“It clearly is a targeted incident, and we’re really asking for the community’s help,” Smith said. He said detectives have some working theories about what led to the shooting but didn’t want to share more publicly at this time. He said it is possible the two men shot each other and detectives are investigating that possibility.
