Md. Legislators Consider Bills to Improve Safety of School Students

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF) — Maryland legislators are debating several bills aimed at increasing safety for students on school buses.

The initiatives are in response to last fall’s fatal bus accident in Southwest Baltimore.

Six people were killed and ten others injured after a school bus slammed into an MTA bus on Frederick Avenue.

Glenn Chappell, 67, the driver of the school bus was among the six fatalities.
