2 Children Killed in Baltimore House Fire

Two young children were killed Wednesday night in a rowhouse fire in East Baltimore, fire officials said.

The one-alarm fire started about 8:50 p.m. in a two-story rowhouse in the 600 block of N. Clinton St.

Four children were in the house at the time of the fire, and two of the children, estimated to be between the ages of 2 to 5, were able to escape, said Fire Chief Roman Clark. The two children who died, both boys, were around ages 1 to 3. The mother of the children was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.
