Bing Maps Street View Captures Homicide Victim in Curtis Bay

A Bing Maps street view camera captured a homicide victim lying on the ground at the corner of Pennington Avenue and Hazel Street in Baltimore’s Curtis Bay neighborhood.

The images were taken April 29, 2015.

“Inevitably you’re going to capture something in the millions and millions of roads that you go down across the world and this is just something they happened to capture here in Baltimore,” said Baltimore City Police Spokesman T.J. Smith.

The Bing Maps street view car was driving down Pennington Avenue at around 4 p.m., moments after the shooting took place.

“When officers arrived they found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds and unfortunately this is what the street view images captured, the man still laying on the roadway and you can see him down on the ground,” Smith said.
