After Silence, O’Malley Re-Emerges at Democratic Convention

Nearly six months after he placed a distant third in the Iowa caucuses and then all but disappeared from public view, Martin O’Malley is re-emerging on the national stage here as Democrats gather to nominate Hillary Clinton for president.

The former Baltimore mayor and Maryland governor, who has eschewed media interviews and kept a low profile for months, is scheduled to take his turn on the podium at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, and has plans to address the Iowa and New Hampshire delegations. He was recognized late Monday during a reception organized by Maryland Democrats.
