BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore police shot a 13-year-old boy on Wednesday. They say he was brandishing what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol and then ran from officers. It turned out to be a replica gun.

The 13-year-old shot by police suffered non life-threatening injuries. The police commissioner says the fake handgun he was holding was a dead-on ringer for a real Beretta handgun.
Just after 4 p.m. Wednesday, shots rang out near the McKim Community Center in Northeast Baltimore.
An officer-involved shooting near Aisquith Street ended with a 13-year-old being shot in the leg and the arm.
